What Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account data: your name, email address and password (encrypted)
- Health records: the medical data you choose to enter, upload or share — owned entirely by you
- Usage data: how you interact with GlobeDoc, to improve the platform (anonymised)
- Device data: device type, operating system and app version for technical support
- Payment data: processed securely by our payment provider — we never store card details
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Provide, maintain and improve the GlobeDoc service
- Personalise your experience and power GlobeDoc AI features
- Send you important account and service notifications
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your health data for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not share your data with insurers, employers or pharmaceutical companies.
Sharing Your Data
We share your data only in these limited circumstances:
- With your consent: when you explicitly share records with a doctor or clinic through GlobeDoc
- Service providers: trusted partners who help us operate the platform (cloud infrastructure, payment processing) under strict data processing agreements
- Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect the safety of users
We never sell, rent or trade your data. Period.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers in the European Union, protected by industry-standard encryption both in transit (TLS) and at rest. We regularly test and audit our security practices.
Access to your health data within GlobeDoc is protected by authentication and role-based access controls. Only you can grant access to your records.
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete all associated personal and health data within 30 days. Some anonymised, aggregated statistics may be retained for platform improvement but cannot be linked back to you.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Correction: update or correct inaccurate data
- Deletion: request permanent deletion of your account and all data
- Portability: export your data in a standard format
- Objection: object to specific processing of your data
- Restriction: request that we limit how we process your data

Cookies
GlobeDoc uses minimal, essential cookies required for the platform to function (authentication sessions, preferences). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Children's Privacy
GlobeDoc accounts require users to be 18 or older. Parents and guardians may manage records for children through a family account. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.
Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of any material changes to this policy by email and by notice on the platform. The updated policy will always be available at globedoc.com/privacy.
